Football Update: Week Two

Errr…yeah…..improvement was the name of the game. Unfotunately, this idea of being thrown into the Division One deep end is going as badly as I expected it would. The 22-3 defeat probably supports that theory.

The media seemed to buy in to Alan Shearer’s recent appointment as Newcastle United manager sure enough. The “messiah” and all of the other cliches were trotted out ad-nausium and those who like to wear their replica shirts and descend on St James’ Park at the slightest outrage were appeased.
